According to Lloyd Tronco, a blogger, Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson owned the Ruins, the formerly majestic mansion in Talisay. Upon knowing that the Spanish soldiers were invading the Province, the Don suddenly damaged the mansion by burning it down, fearing that the Spanish invaders might use his residence for the establishment of their settlement.
Unknown to the Don, the Spanish never intended to settle in Talisay. Unknown to the Don, the Spanish had established a headquarter at Don Mariano Ramos' mansion in Bacolod City. Until now, the equally beautiful mansion is still erect and well-preserved.
